This role: The Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the 180 George Street workplace, ensuring a seamless, well-coordinated and engaging workplace experience. The role leads front of house and community operations, manages the Community Ambassador team, oversees soft service vendors, supports events and activations, and acts as a key on site representative for the CRE Workplace team. In addition to on-site responsibilities, the Community Manager supports cross‑portfolio delivery across JLL CRE ANZ, contributing to consistent service, events, and community standards across the wider CRE Workplace portfolio.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Workplace Operations
- Own day-to-day workplace operations at 180 George Street, maintaining visibility across all activity, including meetings and events.
- Act as the central coordination point for workplace operations, identifying and managing operational issues and risks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain best practice workplace standards and SOPs (e.g. front of house, mailroom, phone handling, meeting rooms), and assist with the implementation of these across the wider JLL CRE ANZ portfolio.
- Ensure incidents, hazards, and near misses are recorded in the safety reporting system (CMO).
- Act as the on-site operations SME, escalating issues to the Senior Workplace Manager as required. Provide input and learnings to inform improvements across other ANZ workplace locations where applicable.
Community Team Leadership
- Manage the 180 George Community Ambassador team, with accountability for performance, capability development, rostering, and day-to-day management.
- Manage and oversee CRE Workplace events and activations at site.
- Work closely with Executive Assistants and Business Support teams to ensure events run smoothly, addressing operational needs such as access, logistics, catering, and guest experience.
- Act as a first point of contact for workplace AV, with the ability to operate systems, troubleshoot common issues, and guide team members, escalating to the tech team when required.
- Lead the planning of cross‑portfolio events and activations, partnering with local Community Ambassador teams to support effective on‑site execution across ANZ Workplaces.
Vendor & Soft Services Management
- Manage day to day relationships with major onsite vendors, including cafe, cleaners etc.
- Attend service meetings and monitor performance against SLAs.
- Raise work orders, manage service requests, and process invoices for soft services and additional cleaning.
- Act as the soft services SME within the CRE Workplace team. Contribute to alignment of service standards and expectations across the ANZ workplace portfolio where required.
- Manage and oversee the inbound call handling process for 180 George and across ANZ,
Workplace Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage JLL CRE workplace communications, including digital screens and SharePoint site content.
- Maintain regular engagement with Executive Assistants and Business Support teams to understand upcoming activity and workplace needs.
- Act as a visible ambassador and key point of contact for the CRE Workplace team, encouraging collaboration across business lines, and support consistent communication approaches and community engagement initiatives across the broader portfolio.
Event Management and Finance
- Manage operational and event‑related budgets, invoices and reconciliations.
- Maintain responsibility for allocated budget lines as directed by the Senior Workplace Manager, including Pantry and Wellness budgets, with potential responsibility for additional areas.
