A successful Vice President, Cybersecurity Business Operations & Vulnerability Governance Lead at Fiserv strengthens cybersecurity and operational resilience by leading governance for application and infrastructure vulnerabilities across a complex financial technology environment. This leader turns ambiguity into structured, scalable solutions by building operating discipline, maturing processes, and aligning cross-functional teams around risk, compliance, and remediation priorities. They also serve as a strategic partner who brings together cybersecurity, technology, operations, banking knowledge, and business management to improve visibility, accountability, and execution.
What you will do?
- Lead governance and maturity for application and infrastructure vulnerability management, attack management activities, and critical security control monitoring to strengthen cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
- Transform an ambiguous environment into structured solutions by establishing clear processes, operating cadence, reporting, escalation paths, and risk assessment routines across cybersecurity and technology functions.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership by supporting planning, executive communications, business reviews, and decision-making with clear insights into vulnerabilities, control performance, risk exposure, and remediation progress.
- Oversee portfolio, vendor, and cross-functional coordination efforts that align cybersecurity initiatives with business priorities, improve execution, and drive accountability across infrastructure, application, risk, and technology teams.
- Partner across cybersecurity, information technology management, banking, operations, and governance teams to advance continuous improvement, strengthen risk management capabilities, and close gaps that could lead to delayed assessments or reduced monitoring of critical vulnerabilities.
What you must have?
- 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, business operations, PMO, technology management, risk management, or governance roles within financial services or fintech environments.
- 7+ years of leadership experience driving cross-functional programs involving application security, infrastructure risk, vulnerability management, or enterprise governance.
- 5+ years of experience leading portfolio management, vendor management, risk assessments, process maturity, or control monitoring in regulated technology organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business, finance, or a related field.
What would be nice to have?
- 10+ years of experience in banking, financial technology, or other highly regulated environments with direct exposure to cybersecurity and operational resilience requirements.
- 3+ years of experience leading structured transformation initiatives that improved vulnerability governance, attack management, remediation execution, or operating model maturity.
- CISSP certification, or 1+ advanced cybersecurity or risk certification.
Salary Range
$155,000.00 - $258,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
