Leidos’ Ground Based Radar Digitization (GBRD) program is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the team responsible for the radar system and infrastructure that ingests, computes, manages, and distributes radar data. This role will guide the development and integration of the computing, networking, timing, operator interface, and command-center capabilities required to support reliable and synchronized radar operations.
This role requires a seasoned technical contributor proficient in applying technical principles, theories, and concepts in electrical engineering and analysis. You will be responsible for developing solutions to technical problems and issues that may be difficult or unclear while collaborating with other members of the design teams.
You will primarily accomplish work through leading your team of design engineers. You will be responsible for meeting product technical requirements within schedule and budget. The Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering assigned work scope while leading a cross-functional team to achieve program cost, schedule, and technical objectives. This position serves as a Cost Account Manager (CAM), responsible for developing and maintaining the Control Account Plan (CAP), forecasting Estimate at Completion (EAC), managing earned value performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring execution within the approved budget and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Primary Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the Radar Back-End team responsible for radar data-processing infrastructure.
Oversee the design, development, integration, and delivery of:
Compute and data-center assets
Server racks and network equipment
Operator workstations and operator-center capabilities
Master clocks and system timing infrastructure
Beam formers and related radar-processing components
Command-center designs and technical architectures
Support and perform technical trade studies
Apply sound engineering practices to mature designs that meet system requirements
Support technical peer, table-top, and internal/external design reviews
Create and maintain Technical Data Package (TDP) artifacts, including models, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specifications
Serve as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) with responsibility for planning, managing, and executing the Control Account Budget (CAB) in accordance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements.
Develop, maintain, and execute Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) activities to ensure alignment with program milestones and contractual deliverables.
Plan, prioritize, and assign work to cross-functional engineering and support personnel to meet program objectives.
Monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance through Earned Value metrics, Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and variance analysis.
Identify execution risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and drive corrective actions to maintain program commitments.
Lead program execution reviews and provide accurate status, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to program leadership and customers.
Manage engineering change implementation, scope growth, and baseline changes while maintaining configuration and technical baseline integrity.
Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Test, and Program Management to ensure integrated planning and execution.
Support proposal development, Basis of Estimate (BOE) creation, resource planning, and staffing forecasts for new business and program growth.
Ensure technical deliverables meet customer requirements, quality standards, and program objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the IPT while mentoring engineers and developing future technical leaders.
Support customer meetings, design reviews, program management reviews (PMRs), Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and other technical and business reviews.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, EVMS processes, and applicable engineering and program management standards.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field from an ABET-accredited university.
BS with12+ years of progressive engineering experience, or MS with 10+ years experience.
At least 5 years supporting or leading multidisciplinary teams.
Experience supporting large DoD or aerospace programs.
Demonstrated success working on complex, multi-disciplinary teams through development, integration, test, and production.
Experience with radar systems, mission systems, command-and-control systems, or other complex data-processing environments.
Knowledge of compute infrastructure, server systems, networking, data centers, or distributed processing architectures.
Experience with systems integration, technical coordination, and lifecycle management.
Strong technical judgment and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with design reviews (PDR/CDR), configuration management, and risk management.
Basic understanding of radar systems and signal processing.
Active DoD secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain and maintain).
Resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with radar, EO/IR, or advanced sensing technologies.
Experience with radar systems, mission systems, command-and-control systems, or other complex data-processing environments.
Knowledge of compute infrastructure, server systems, networking, data centers, or distributed processing architectures.
Experience with systems integration, technical coordination, and lifecycle management.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
