What You Will Do:

Prepare surfaces to be painted by cleaning, masking, and sanding.
-
Apply paint to surface of the part using spray gun.
-
Able to adjust paint gun to maximize transfer efficiency and teach others.
-
Able to clean and maintain spray equipment.
-
Ensures manometers, filters, ovens and all equipment meet specification requirements.
-
Understands spray patterns, angles and distance to part.
-
Understands racking and hanging techniques.
-
Learn to accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
-
Accurately completes required documentation.
-
Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.
-
Meet customer deadlines.
-
Store, handle, use and dispose of hazardous chemicals in accordance with federal, state laws.
-
Maintain a clean work environment.
-
Responsible to comply with applicable elements of quality systems.
-
Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required.
-
Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
-
Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
-
Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required.
-
Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in
the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
-
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
-
Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.

Ability to comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Experience spraying with paint guns
-
Experience with applying coatings to metal in paint booths
-
Experience with prepping (taping, applying plastic covers, filling in holes etc.)
-
Experience painting in a commercial setting: Cars, Boats, Aircraft
-
Current holder of U.S. government issued security clearance

The hourly range for this role is $21.38 - $40.10. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
