As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, maintainers and engineers, you will help to enable new spaceflight designs by supporting the production of Metallic Additively Manufactured (AM) components. Our team uses process development, root cause and corrective action and continuous improvement to drive Blue Origin's bold mission! Our team achieves this by bringing new machines, materials, processing methods, and support equipment to a production state. Responsibilities: Understand the AM value stream from start to finish including printing, post processing, thermal processing, and inspection Research, onboard and production harden new processes and equipment to increase quality, efficiency, and reduce cost of the AM workcenter Conduct root cause investigation of issues with machines and manufacturing, and work with operations, maintenance, and outside vendors to implement solutions Qualifications: Experience working in a Production or Development Environment Experience authoring and developing manufacturing processes to improve end product Proven skills with troubleshooting of industrial processes or equipment using Root Cause Analysis methods Bachelor’s or higher in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field Ability to support operations onsite in Kent, Washington and during off hours (if required) via phone or online tools Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: Experience with metallic or polymer 3D printing, welding or casting Experience with fabrication methods (ie. machining, sheet metal, carbon fiber manufacturing, riveting, heat treatment etc.) 2+ years of experience in aerospace, medical device manufacturing or a related field Experience with quality management (ie.
