Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Courtland, AL!
In this role you will lead and manage a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve schedule execution and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate must be able to read engineering drawings, blueprints and interpret/translate instructions to mechanics / technicians.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Drive day-to-day improvement activities to support customer needs and enhance operational efficiency. • Provide guidance and direction to team members to ensure effective collaboration and communication. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee development. • Manage cross-functional manufacturing teams. • Monitor business metrics and performance tracking • Lead and manage a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve schedule execution and customer satisfaction. |
Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing and/or production. • Experience informally or formally leading a team. • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. |
Desired Skills
• Manufacturing experiences in areas of component manufacturing, disassembly, assembly, and materials management preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. • Experience with performance metrics and benchmarking. • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances. • Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies. • Kaizen, Kanban, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience, Green Belt Certified |
Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $90600.00 - $168200.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): :$81500.00 - $151300.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): :$72500.00 - $134600.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas–Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
- Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): :$65200.00 - $121200.00
- Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Ocala, FL; Lufkin, TX; etc.

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
