Standard Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced CNC programmer in Grand Prairie, TX. This candidate will join a collaborative team supporting a rapidly growing shop and will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs that enable high quality, on-time production.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop new CNC machining processes and program parts to meet design specifications
- Analyze engineering drawings and determine the appropriate machine, machining strategy, cutting tools and parameters, and work holding strategy
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
- Analyze and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
- Research, test and implement new machining technology, cutters and equipment
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of NC programming experience using a CAM package
- Proven process improvement and problem solving experience
- Deep understanding of cutting tools and effective machining practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills
- Experience programming 3-5 axis mills and mill turn machines for a variety of materials
- Experience with Siemens NX and Vericut software
- Ability to design fixturing/workholding solutions
- Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part machinability.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
