As a Dev Sec Ops Engineer you will:
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Technical Leadership to design and construct the Integrated Development Environments required to support software development, testing, and deployment.
- Deploy and sustain Linux (RHEL 9) and Windows operating system environments and containerized services
- Automate deployment of workspaces and services using tools like Ansible
- Manage security information and event management monitoring and logging tools to ensure system performance and security.
- Interpret Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (DoD STIGs) and remediate vulnerabilities within the information systems and maintain security compliance.
- Provide on-site and remote support to analyze and resolve technical issues for development and test teams working within the Integrated Development Environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including both within Lockheed Martin and external sub-contractors.
As part of an Agile Development Team, you will actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality solutions. Your contributions will help maintain the secure and uninterrupted communication capabilities of critical military systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Professional experience in software engineering and/or systems engineering.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows System Administration
- Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab)
- This position requires U.S. citizenship, Final Secret Clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with DevSecOps process, tools and frameworks.
- Experience with remote desktop gateway solutions (e.g. Citrix, Apache Guacamole, etc.)
- Experience with containerized workspace solutions (e.g. KASM)
- Familiarity with military SATCOM systems and secure communication protocols.
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Ansible).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (e.g. JIRA and Confluence)
- Experience collaborating with program security team(s) responsible for maintaining information system accreditation.
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
