Overview
ABM is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician III to service commercial clients throughout the Austin/Houston area. This field-based opportunity is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and completing high-quality repairs. Technicians are dispatched directly from home, offering greater convenience and independence throughout the workday.
Commercial HVAC service experience is required; residential-only experience will not qualify.

Responsibilities
Check out some of your day:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs and large packaged units
- Perform preventive maintenance and service repairs for contracted customers
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using industry-standard tools
- Service large-tonnage equipment 100+ tons
- Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers
- Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards
Qualifications
Here's who we are looking for:
Required:
- 4+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge
Preferred:
- Large-tonnage equipment
- Air-cooled chillers (any level)
- Technical/trade training
Other requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job duties
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
- Pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR required after the offer stage
