Lead a Network Engineering group responsible for data center, backbone/edge, and cloud networking. You develop strategies and plans that drive company-level reliability, security, performance, and cost outcomes. Own revenue/budget accountability across the group, partner with executive leadership on direction, and lead negotiations and briefings on issues of organizational significance. May have a mixed team of Network Engineers and Network Hardware Engineers, coordinating the physical network platform lifecycle (planning, sourcing, qualifying, sustaining routers/switches, optics/OLS, timing, cabling) to ensure interoperable, cost- and power-efficient components that enable reliable, secure, and compliant services at scale
