The Lockheed Martin Global Comms and Navigation Mission Segment is designing, developing, and delivering an integrated space/ground Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system. This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.
In this role, you will support Requirements and Verification Engineering for the integrated system. This includes performing the:
- Development, allocation, and flow-down of both performance and functional requirements from the system to it’s constituent segments and below
- Coordination across the SEIT team and with lower-tier systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure a comprehensive allocation and understanding of the system requirements
- Develop verification and validation plans; lead the applicable verification and validation activities ensuring the systems both meets requirements and performs as needed
- Support for key program design reviews

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
