You will be the Project Engineer for the F-35 LoB Engineering, Business Operations & Capture.
Our team is is assigned responsibility, authority, and accountability for execution of the Engineering and Technology (E&T) activity across the entire LOB to accomplish Program cost, schedule, and performance.
The role also serves to support the E&T and Program Management leadership through driving new business opportunities to include, but not limited to, establishing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), generating Statements of Work, driving Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) input requirements definition and integrating Program and Supplier Technical Engineering Activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead F-35 proposals during all phases of a proposal (pre-RFP to contract award) to successfully capture F-35 business; includes Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), Not To Exceed (NTE), and Firm proposals.
• Lead and coordinate with subject matter experts and proposal integrators throughout the enterprise to develop and deliver engineering input for all proposal documents, artifacts, schedules, and estimates.
• Support shaping of proposals – particularly technical requirements – to best position LM Aero to win new F-35 contracts. Interface with Program Management, Finance & Business Ops, and other functions to support proposal development and negotiation.
• Support quick-turn ROM estimates, often relying on similar-to efforts or other supporting data to submit estimates with minimal opportunity to coordinate with functional engineering.
• Provide proposal briefings and coordinate approvals for F-35 Engineering and Program Management leadership through Executive Planning Panel (EPP).
• Coordinate scope changes and ensure communication to engineering stakeholders and program leadership.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
This position can be located in Fort Worth, TX or Marietta, GA or Palmdale, CA
Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
