THE WORK
Manage a buyer’s desk focused on purchase activities and on-time delivery of frozen composite raw materials in support of Rotary product centers. You may be required to work onsite up to two, three days a week in Stratford, CT to better support these operations.
• Serve as the primary interface with internal customers & stakeholders and with external subcontractors & suppliers.
• Report status and performance metrics to product center management; ensure timely delivery and quality of services in support of program milestones.
• Engage with cross-functional teams, such as Program Management, Operations, Supplier Quality and Engineering to achieve business objectives.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a collaborative professional with a strong foundation in supply chain disciplines and ERP systems. You possess the critical thinking and communication skills necessary to solve complex procurement challenges within a cross-functional team environment.
A level 3 employee is mid-career and typically has 3+ years of professional experience.

Additional Job Details: Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts in support of development, production and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.
