Position Summary
Fills orders, counts, loads, and unloads products on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule.
Position Responsibilities/major duties
· Ensures that product received from plant or other plants are recorded correctly.
· Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
· Maintains cleanliness of work area
· Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
· Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
· Performance of other duties are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Essential Job Functions/ Requirements
· Mobility – physically capable of movement to all shipping areas. Ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing (400lbs), up to at a distance of (300) feet. Continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks and low boy humps, up and down ramps with slopes up to 30°, 24” high.
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 10 hours on a daily basis.
· Sensory – Visual ability necessary to recognize warning, devices, signs, and deviations from production standards. Hearing sufficient to detect auditable alarms.
· Communication – Ability to read hear, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, work schedules and written supervisory instructions.
Desired Experience
Entry Level position requiring minimal training to fulfill tasks
Desired Education
High School Diploma or GED
Must have demonstrated the ability to read comprehend and record necessary information applicable to the job.
