LCV EUCOM Poland: Surveyor - Contingency
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make exact measurements and determine property boundaries.
- Provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features on or near the earth's surface for engineering, mapmaking, mining, land evaluation, construction, and other purposes.
- Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).
- Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
- Train assistants and helpers and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.
- Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires 15 years of experience as a Surveyor with at least 10 years of experience in Civil Construction and Roadways.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree, vocational school or related on-the-job experience is required.
- Licensed/Registered Surveyor in Country of Origin.
- Must have experience in the use of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D specifically.
- Requires experience in the use of Real Time Kinematic GPS systems.
- Must have a valid Passport with at least 18 months of validity.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience using Trimble systems.
Candidates must meet visa and or work permit requirements for the country of assignment to be considered and eligible for employment.
