This is a contingent position based upon contract award.
KBR is seeking a Software Application and Web Developer to support government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area.The Software Application and Web Developer role providesthe expertise and experience to establish and maintain a development environment, incorporating industry standards and best practices, to enable management of development epics and support an agile sprint development schedule. Thisindividualwill also provide support, maintenance, and continued updates of the business process applications in use,while pursuing epics to consolidate disparate business processes into a single,cloud basedcapability.
Responsibilities:
Apply industry standards and best practices for managing test tool and software development,including:discrepancy tracking, reporting, and resolution.
Utilize industry best practices for dev, test,stagingand production environments to include (but not limited to):
Infrastructureas Code
Platform as a Service Construct
Continuous Integration/ContinuousDeployment(Delivery) Tools for development,deploymentand configuration management of the architecture
Design for failure architecture approach
Containerization of Services
Continuous Monitoring and Inspection of health and compliance to policy of Services/Environments
Establish and maintain an agile sprint development environment in support of web tools, and test tool development andmaintenance;adheringto agile processes and methodologies.
Adhere to prescribed processes and guidelines for web/tool development workstations and the development environment toinclude:requesting approval for software download/installation, software configuration, and software version control.
Manage and maintain content for thecustomerweb presence onmultiplesecuritydomains toinclude site design, content updates, collecting web metrics, and supporting access by external customers.
Perform physical installation, customization, support, maintenance, license updates, configurations, and monitoring of business process applications that are part of thecustomerinternal support environment.
Develop a consolidated business process tool, integrating and replacingcurrent project management capabilities; provide installation, customization, support, maintenance, license updates, and monitoring of the consolidated business tool after implementation.
Provide automated and manual test management capabilities to identify, standardize and import test objectives, test procedures, test plans, test documentation, releases andcyclesstructure, and design of overall and low level process flows.
Providedatabase design,developmentand maintenance (Oracle,PostGRSQL, or other as specified) for Test related web and tools projects.
Attend and supportcustomerplanning events and technical meetings
Participate invendor product reviews and daily startup and wrap-up meetings
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Bachelorsdegree in Software Engineeringor Computer Sciencewith 5 or more years of related technical experience(Additional professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Well versed in software engineering methodology and processes
Experience with web design,administration,and database-driven applications PHP,MySQLand HTML/CSS security concepts collaboration software
Familiarity with:
Java, Flex andJavascript
Python codingand other coding languages requirements and design analysis
Experience with testing and configuration management tools such as Git
GIS systems and tools (commercial or open source)
Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Specifications including WMS, WFS, WCS, CS-W spatial data,referenceand projection systems
Security Clearance Requirements:Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
