The Job:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Test Engineer to lead the development, validation, and continuous improvement of test methods, tools and processes that support product development, verification, and qualification activities. This role is responsible for designing robust, repeatable, and efficient test methodologies for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with engineering, quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring approximately 10 years of test engineering experience within a product development environment, with strong expertise in test strategy, method development, data analysis, root cause investigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

- Lead the development, optimization, and standardization of test methods for product design verification, validation, and performance evaluation.
- Define test strategies, protocols, acceptance criteria, and reporting requirements for new product development programs.
- Collaborate with design engineering, quality, manufacturing, reliability, and program management teams to ensure test methods align with product requirements and project timelines.
- Collaborate with CAE teams to optimize physical testing as well as to correlate CAE methods with physical testing.
- Analyze test data, interpret results, and provide clear technical recommendations to support design decisions.
- Drive root cause analysis and failure investigation for product and test-related issues.
- Develop, qualify, and validate test fixtures, equipment, and laboratory processes to ensure repeatability and reproducibility.
- Support verification and validation planning throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure test methods comply with applicable industry standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation including test plans, protocols, reports, work instructions, and engineering summaries.
- Mentor test engineers and technicians in test methodology, best practices, and problem-solving approaches.
- Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, automation, accuracy, and lab capability.
- Support external testing activities and coordinate with third-party laboratories when required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Approximately 10 years of experience in test engineering, test method development, or product verification/validation within a product development industry.
- Strong experience developing and executing test methods for electromechanical, mechanical, or consumer/industrial products.
- Demonstrated knowledge of design verification, validation, reliability testing, and engineering test practices.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data interpretation, and experimental design.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot test systems, investigate failures, and drive corrective actions.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with test automation, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation.
- Experience with HiL testing
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance testing requirements relevant to the product domain.

The Salary range for this position is $110,600.00 - $178,000.00
This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
