Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for providing contract support by working directly with program, contract and functional teams to perform tasks in accordance with established policy and procedures. Tasks will require that you coordinate and manage internal and customer meetings, routine and new business proposals, all aspects of contract and order maintenance as applicable and within designated authority and skill set ability. This position will require that you act as the primary point of contact between BAE Systems and the Customer for all assigned contractual matters. You will be working independently with the support and the supervision of a higher level Contract Administrator or Manager as applicable.
The chosen candidate will gain a working understanding of commercial contracting methods to support a variety of established commercial programs and new business efforts. They will have the unlimited potential to develop their commercial and business knowledge and skills while getting the experience required to provide effective contract management and the ability to proficiently support negotiations and regular communication with customers and management.
Daily responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support and lead assigned proposal activities including but not limited to analyzing of the solicitation, preparing summaries based on the analysis, with attention to the financial and business risk of the proposed effort, participating and leading proposal team meetings, preparing the terms, conditions and bid assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted, reviewing the technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency, and preparing proposal documents for submittal to the customer. Responsibilities also include coordinating with other company functions as required to ensure the appropriate reviews are scheduled and conducted and the required review and approval signatures are received prior to the submittal of proposals or execution of contractual documents.
- Under the supervision of a contract manager, support the preparation of various agreements encountered in the business, such as non-disclosure agreements (NDA’s), memorandum of understanding/agreements, teaming agreements, strategic alliances and others as the opportunity presents.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects including auxiliary agreements such as proprietary information agreements. Draft, prepare, and execute various internal and external correspondence on contractual matters with increasing levels of autonomy but under the supervision of a Contracts manager, commensurate with experience and demonstrated competence.

- Compliance with Company policies and procedures, legal, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Provide guidance to Program Management on international and commercial contracting methods while protecting our Intellectual Property.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor’s degree with a business related focus or liberal arts
- 2 years of contact management or related/equivalent business experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel and customers
- Proven ability to manage complex tasks and competing priorities
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- U.S Citizenship

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
