Assure
all R&D laboratory work is conducted in a safe manner including
understanding the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), the use of proper Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of
laboratory equipment, and 5S; ensures products and processes comply with
all federal and state regulatory agencies
- Take on equipment ownership to operate application equipment safely and
efficiently. Able to set up, operate and troubleshoot equipment of
moderate complexity
- With
minimal supervision, accurately follow process procedures and
record experimental details, collecting and organizing data in a coherent
format. Able to analyze and judge the quality of data
- Report laboratory results and methods according to Henkel lab book policies;
results, reports and observations will be communicated to
internal/external customers in a timely manner
- Execute standardized test plans with minimal supervision
- Help develop new tests for materials performance as required and apply learning
from one project to the next
- Familiar
with products and substrates associated with assigned technology
team/market/region
- Prepare
graphs or charts of data. Must have ability to identify and report
abnormalities in collected data and/or project work to supervisors
- Plan
daily and weekly activities, multi-tasking as necessary to complete
assigned tasks
- Train other technicians regarding equipment
operating and/or test procedures
