Shipping Associate responsibilities include:
- Pick, pull, and pack customer orders for shipment
- Pull parts from inventory based on customer orders
- Review technical prints to verify part specifications before processing for shipment
- Photograph items prior to packaging to ensure quality control and documentation standards
- Ensure orders are safely packed to prevent damage during transit
- Accurately enter shipment data and generate labels using shipping software systems such as UPS, DataWorks, and other logistics platforms
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying quantities during the picking and packing process
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and comprehend technical prints, work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondence
- Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.)
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
- Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts)
