The Owego Facilities Engineering Manager leads the engineering organization responsible for the technical health, performance, and long-term sustainability of facility infrastructure supporting a complex manufacturing, laboratory, office, and industrial campus.
This leader will develop engineering talent, strengthen technical capabilities, and establish effective partnerships with Facilities Maintenance, Capital Projects & Construction, Manufacturing, and centralized Reliability Engineering. The role provides technical leadership for critical infrastructure while ensuring engineering solutions balance safety, reliability, maintainability, cost, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and strengthen the Facilities Engineering team.
Provide technical leadership for complex facility infrastructure and utility systems.
Establish engineering priorities, standards, and technical requirements.
Partner with Maintenance and Operations to troubleshoot complex issues and improve equipment and system performance.
Provide technical review and engineering support for capital projects while maintaining clear accountability between engineering and project execution.
Oversee external engineering and design resources and review technical deliverables.
Support infrastructure lifecycle planning and development of long-term investment strategies.
Partner with centralized Reliability Engineering to improve asset performance and reduce operational risk.
Support commissioning, system turnover, outage planning, and technical acceptance of facility modifications.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Manufacturing, ESH, Security, and other business stakeholders.
