Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Material Control Specialist (MCS) to join its organization on 2nd Shift - 2:30pm -11pm & 3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of material handling functions including but not limited to receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory in the warehouse and other store locations within the plant
- Open containers using hand tools
- Counts, weighs, and samples materials
- Utilize computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information
- Handle the loads and unloads of materials onto or from pallets, trays, multi-level racks, and machines by hand
- Loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand or with equipment
- Operate equipment inclusive of forklifts (electric or diesel powered), pickers, and pallet jacks (electric or manual)
- Follow all departmental material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements while putting safety as a top priority
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work experience
- Proficient forklift operator
- Experience in warehousing or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Basic math skills
- Willing to work in a team environment
- Ability to physically lift objects up to 40 lbs. independently
- Availability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with Oracle based MRP system
- Ability to use Zebra handheld scan gun equipment
Pay InformationThis position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
