Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform Duties as a Red Hat Enterprise License (RHEL) system administrator for RT3 and FMSD
- Install, update, and maintain system software and hardware configurations based on the developers instructions and recommendations
- Submit hardware for hardware/software application updates (if necessary)
- Build user databases and scenarios to use for Training using the Air Battle Management Levels outlined in the ADA Patriot Gunnery Program (TC 3-01.86) source documents
- Integrate the RT3 and FMSD systems into a larger Joint or Coalition exercise on the exercise networks provided
- Integrate the FMSD into the Patriot Engagement Control Station and assist in the building of necessary tactical databases and troubleshoot any interface or system issues
- Troubleshoot and repair the RT3 and FMSD training systems and subcomponents as necessary
- Utilize the proper build of software for the desired operational environment (OE) (US Only vs. FMS REL)
- Initiate repairs on systems that become non-operational
- Coordinate with the next level of maintenance if necessary to troubleshoot and implement timely repairs of faulty systems
- Establish and maintain a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) user account on the Raytheon Technologies (RTX) COTS Spares website
- Complete the FMSD System Administrators course conducted at Redstone Arsenal, AL
- Establish and Maintain requisite driver’s license for USFK
- Conduct on-Peninsula travel in a POV to support disparate Patriot RT3/FMSD requirements
- Travel to Japan US Army sites to assist in RT3/FMSD configuration, maintenance and repairs
- Assist the unit in planning and executing internal and external joint or coalition training events
- Operate FMSD systems IAW AAMCOM Safety protocols
- Provide the Army Patriot operator personnel on those protocols and procedures and capabilities and system limitations
- Obtain and Maintain Security Plus (+) Certification throughout the contract period
Basic Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess a H.S. Diploma as a minimum
- Candidates must have as a minimum 5-10 years of direct US Patriot weapon system experience in a tactical environment. School house experience will be evaluated as an exception to the tactical experience.
- Applicants must possess a US Secret security clearance or higher and must maintain that clearance throughout the contracted period
- Applicants must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Applicants must have a current/valid Security Plus (+) or higher IA Certification to apply for this position as elevated system administration privileges are required to maintain the Patriot MPCOFT/RT3 and the Flight Mission Simulator Digital (FMSD) systems.
- Candidates must have relative experience with the Modernized Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer (MPCOFT) or Reconfigurable Table Top Trainer (RT3) from a scripting perspective and be able to support functioning as a System Administrator for the RHEL operating systems and RT3 hardware
- Candidates must possess a valid US State Driver’s License
- Candidates must be able to travel for extended periods of time via air or land to support the customer’s requirements
- Having additional college level course credits in the IT or IA fields of study above the preferred qualification is beneficial
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have as a minimum 5-10 years of direct relevant and recent US Patriot weapon system experience in a tactical environment. Relevant ADA School house experience will be evaluated as an exception to the tactical experience.
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred but can be replaced with directly attributable Patriot Tactical weapon system experience
