WK Kellogg Co is looking to bring out the tiger in you by utilizing your skill set troubleshooting, repairing, and collaborating on electrical components! In this role you will partner with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel as you keep the plant and production running. You will act as a problem-solver who helps our company maintain a strong reputation and market share!
We are seeking a skilled
Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Battle Creek manufacturing facility. In this critical role, you will help keep our operations running at peak performance by maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the plant.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will support production and facility operations by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of electrical systems, automation controls, and industrial equipment. Here Is What You Will Be Doing
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including 66KV, 13.2KV, and 480V equipment.
- Installing, calibrating, and testing electrical building infrastructure, control systems, and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, HVAC systems, robots, and automation controls.
- Conduct root cause analysis and document findings for continuous improvement.
- Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMP, sanitation, and quality protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Communicate effectively with management and operators regarding equipment status and repairs.
- Support innovation and contribute to team-based problem solving and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License required.
- 3-5 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, electrical schematics, power controls, and instrumentation.
- Experience with SAP or ERP maintenance systems; Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- AutoCAD and SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and behavior-based safety practices.
- Ability to stand, walk, perform repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Salary Range: $45 /Hour base pay
- ALL shifts available - Shift Differential applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts
