About UHP
UHP — Unlock Human Potential is building a new category of education centered around whole-human experiential vocational training, leadership development, and purpose-driven transformation. UHP serves veterans, transitioning service members, and purpose-driven individuals through immersive programs that integrate human performance, leadership, wellness, vocational skills, and personal growth.
Our environment is fast-moving, mission-driven, and deeply experiential. We are not a traditional university, gym, military program, or trade school — we are building a scalable human development institution designed for the future workforce.
The Opportunity
UHP is seeking a Welding Instructor to deliver hands-on welding education within Ignite America Trade Schools. This is not a classroom-only role — you'll run labs, demonstrate technique, and coach veterans through real welding disciplines as they build toward a new career. The ideal candidate is a skilled welder who knows the trade cold and genuinely wants to pass it on.

- Lead welding labs — demonstrate proper technique, equipment use, and safety procedures
- Read and teach from blueprints and welding specifications
- Evaluate student performance through practical exercises, testing, and hands-on assessment
- Enforce safety standards, PPE requirements, and shop discipline at all times
- Mentor and coach veteran students, connecting military discipline to trade professionalism
- Track attendance, progress, and skill proficiency; flag students who need extra support
- Help refine curriculum, lesson pacing, and lab effectiveness alongside the Director
- Support employer connections, industry visits, and student placement efforts
