BAE Systems Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems (C4ISR) business area is seeaking an entry level Quality Engineer to support daily manufacturing activities for the Tactical Systems product line at our office in Greenlawn, NY.

- Knowledge of/experience supporting a manufacturing environment and providing effective communications to cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with M365 applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and a desire to learn new software applications
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with others.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data packages, engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, component specifications, standards, and process sheets.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor of Science degree
- Previous role in a Quality function governed by military and aerospace standards
- Knowledge of/experience with Quality Management Systems auditing procedures and continuous improvement activities
- Supported production quality control (QC) teams within an electronics manufacturing environment certified to AS9100
- Ability to apply, interpret and/or advise teams on quality, process documentation and workmanship requirements for product realization and inspection of components, assemblies and subassemblies.
- Identification, control and disposition of discrepant material with an understanding of Preliminary Material Review/Material Review Board (PMR/MRB)
- Execution of First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Working Knowledge and understanding of military electronics standards like IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, or MIL-PRF-38534
- Familiarity with technology insertion within an electronics manufacturing environment using existing technologies like Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and/or developing innovative processes
- Execution of root cause/corrective action tools (8D, 5 Whys, Cause and effect, fault trees)
- Familiarity of APQP/AS9145 processes, including PFMEA and PPAP
- Support in cleanroom, ESD and FOD controlled areas
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70828 - $120408
