For over 70 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. We are seeking a Sr Project Engineer to join the Mk7 Aeroshell Integrated Product Team (IPT). The successful candidate will support the program as they ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role will require strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is not a CAM, but offers an opportunity of learning Earned Value Management (EVM) in support of the IPT, with future growth opportunities in the CAM direction.

Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Basic Qualifications
- Project engineering experience or equivalent comparable experience
- Experience working throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment)
- Eligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Open Plan
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Business Rhythm creation and management experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Certification in project management, such as PMI/PMP.
- Active or Current Secret clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
