Job Overview:
The Enrolled Agent (EA) is responsible for managing and resolving client tax cases through direct IRS representation. This role requires independent analysis, full ownership of case strategy, and responsibility for IRS communications from initial review through final resolution and closeout. An EA is expected to manage core resolution steps, including compliance review, financial preparation, strategy development, and ongoing client communication. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to operate independently within a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and finalize client financial documentation and collection information statements
- Develop and execute tailored resolution strategies based on client financial circumstances
- Communicate directly with clients to explain options, set expectations, and obtain approvals
- Represent clients before the IRS and manage all IRS communications
- Move cases strategically from review through submission to final resolution
- Close cases with ACS and ensure all IRS requirements are satisfied
- Maintain accurate documentation, case updates, and workflow progression
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Services, Sales, and Tax Preparation teams
- Provide guidance and support to EA Assistants
- Stay current on IRS procedures, tax laws, and resolution programs
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance standards
Qualifications:

- Ability to analyze financial situations and develop effective resolution strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently

- Ability to stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
