Software Engineer - Mid Level

Join Boeing Intelligence & Analytics as a Software Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing data transformation processes. Collaborate with a talented team of developers to architect and implement solutions using Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) methodologies, ensuring seamless data integration into critical software systems. Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Higher level degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret with the ability to obtain polygraph
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
- Strong background in object-oriented programming languages
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in ambiguous scenarios
- Self-starter with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience in data ingestion, ETL processes, and data modeling
- Experience with programming languages such as Ruby, Java, or Python
- Familiarity with Restful web services and API integration
- Experience with multiple data formats such as JSON, XML, Binary, etc
- Experience with ETL Tools such as Apache Nifi, Informatica, DataBricks, etc.
- Knowledge of code development, deployment practices, and version control
- Exposure to cloud architectures (e.g., AWS EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Elastic Search)
- Proficiency in XML data formats and processing techniques (XSLT, XPath)
Telework/Remote Availability: Limited telework is possible, but not on a regular basis
Work Location: National Capitol Region
Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$120,000 - $139,000
