ABM is looking for a Regional Director of Food Safety & Sanitation in our Dallas, TX territory for our Food & Beverage Industry Group.
Pay: $ DOE
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

OBJECTIVE:
To support the Vice President of Operations in providing leadership to the Industry Groups sanitation operations. The Regional Director must be goal oriented, self-motivated, have a high level of attention to detail and demonstrated leadership skills. This role will document, assess, and report their Regions level of compliance with Company, Regulatory, and GFSI food safety, food defense and food quality standards, guidelines, and requirements as it relates to sanitation. Ensure that their Regions Food Safety and Sanitation Program adequately addresses any potential food safety hazards and threats to food quality and includes sufficient measures and procedures to effectively control or eliminate these hazards and threats. Responsible for the financial delivery and reporting of all day-to-day operation and administrative activities at multiple sites within an Area territory. Develops and implements cost control measures and level of service standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications / contract requirements for assigned customers. Oversees safety, inspections, quality control measures, and the inventory control of equipment and supplies for the assigned Area territory.
Reporting: This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the service activities for the Area territory.
- Ensure that services are performed as contracted and at the intended profit margins.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and personnel necessary to meet customer specifications.
- Interact with customers daily to obtain feedback on services and special needs.
- Manage potential customer problems and concerns.
- Manage the company’s sanitation and safety programs at the assigned Area territory.
- Conduct quality of service inspections at Area territory work sites.
- Attend ABM training workshops as required.
- Develop operational improvement plans and implements process changes within assigned Area territory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations.
- Ensure that all paperwork, including terminations, labor variance action plans, and operational models is complete and accurate and is submitted in a timely manner.
- Analyze and manage, in a proactive manner, both the financial and the operational performance of the assigned Area territory.
- Ensure that payroll is accurate and submitted to the appropriate payroll personnel in a timely manner and, when applicable, correct any payroll discrepancies.
- Manage and provide leadership to Supervisors, and Lead personnel assigned to the Area territory.
- Responsible for directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining subordinates; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and terminating employees.

- Oversees multi-million-dollar food manufacturing sanitation service operation.
- Responsible for customer base within the Area territory
- Manages and develops the Service staff, which includes hiring, terminating, and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counselling employees, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments to ensure effective sanitary standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field and prior management experience in a food manufacturing environment as a QA/QC
- Certifications and experience/knowledge in PCQI, GFSI, FSMA, BRC, SQF food safety, food defense, internal auditing, and food quality standards
- Must be proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work well in a customer focused team environment.
Required travel of 50-60% or based on business needs
