In this role, you'll play a key role in subcontractor and vendor management, bid preparation, cost control, and client interaction. Your contributions will directly impact project success and client satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and qualify subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work.
- Prepare and send bid packages and invitations to bid.
- Receive and analyze bids; collaborate with the project manager on subcontract and purchase order negotiations.
- Maintain a purchase control log.
- Participate in design review meetings, focusing on scope, cost changes, and constructability.
- Handle project permit applications and tracking.
- Create detailed estimates and cost codes for cost control reporting.
- Collaborate with accounting for subcontractor and vendor payment processing.
- Update progress schedules, including short-term interval schedules.
- Assist in construction operation planning.
- Interact with clients per project manager directives.
- Manage submittals, maintain submittal control log, and handle requests for information (RFIs).
- Support superintendent in subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality management.
- Assist in project close-out tasks, including unit cost history and punch-list management.
- Manage assigned scopes of work within projects as directed.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Ability to temporarily relocate for the duration of the project
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and technologies
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
