In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates. The Senior Estimator leads and trains Estimating personnel while following Preconstruction standards and processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads and trains Estimating personnel
- Develops accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages
- Develops associated scope of work clarifications
- Identifies risk items and associated order of magnitude
- Assists with Preconstruction resource management
- Assists with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools
- Assists the Pricing Lead and participates in estimate review meetings
- Contributes to cost savings exercises
- Assists with the development of bid packages
- Assists with the project construction budget
- Assists with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings
- Assists with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships
- Assists with project procurement and buyout
- Collaborates with Preconstruction Leadership
- Collaborates with designers and clients
- Collaborates and assists the project operations team
- Follows project construction costs and market trends
- Participates in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs
- Travel as required, 10% - 20%
- Other duties which may be assigned as needed
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent and 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Architectural Estimating experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience
- Proven computer skills, including the utilization of estimating software systems

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
