In this role, you will perform and supervise various U.S. federal, state, and international direct and indirect tax research, compliance, and planning tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Researches, advises, and summarizes international corporate income tax impacts and related U.S. impact.
- Prepares federal, state, and international income and franchise tax calculations.
- Supervises and reviews multi state S-Corp and composite returns, and international tax returns in various international taxing jurisdictions.
- Coordinates tax return compliance in various U.S. and International taxing jurisdictions.
- Researches, advises, and summarizes international transaction-based taxes, including withholding taxes, VAT, GST, taxes on importations, etc.
- Performs and supervises the reconciliation of state income tax accounts and various international tax accounts in the general ledger.
- Assists with facilitation of information in transfer pricing studies.
- Reviews tax language in contracts and advises with appropriate rates, tax concepts, etc.
- Assists with facilitation of information related to U.S. R&D credits, specialized deductions, etc.
- Facilitates tax information to project teams.
- Responds to information requests and notices from tax authorities.
- Assists with tax audits from U.S. and international taxing authorities.
- Assists in legal entity management and tasks.
- Assists with tax planning on appropriately minimizing tax exposures and risk.
- Travel as required.
- Other duties which may be assigned as needed.
- Supervises others.
Education & Years of Experience:
- Four-year degree in accounting or finance with CPA certification. Minimum of 4 years of public accounting and/or 7 years’ industry experience in U.S. corporate federal, state and international tax.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Knowledge of tax issues associated with the construction industry.
- Knowledge of S-Corp taxation or flow-through entity taxation.
- Understanding of cross-border transactions and related tax impact.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
