Manager Project Sales
Minneapolis, Minnesota
This position is responsible for managing the productivity of the Switchgear and Lighting sales team for the Twin Cities market. This position manages both switchgear and lighting positions. Supervises the timely and accurate preparations and dissemination of project quotes. Supports sales with technical and design assistance.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leadership of Project Team - Associate interviewing, hiring training & development as well as delgating responsibilities across the team, workload monitoring, and performance management.
- Develop and implement new customer valued services. Responsible for improving processes that will maximize productivity and market growth.
- Assist with maintaining the appropriate products pricing structure and training of our sales force to maximize profit with pricing. Evaluate profit structure on projects.
- Support sales with technical assistance as requested by their customers; promote and coordinate sales efforts with other departments.
- Responsible for creating the annual budget and meeting those budget results. Managing and determining department goals at three-year planning level.
- Establish marketing programs to increase the image of Viking to our customers.
Position Requirements:
- Prior sales experience in electrical wholesale
- Prior management experience preferred
- Experience with key customers and large project business preferred
