In Precision Strike & Sensing Solutions, we design and manufacture state-of-the-art systems and technology that enable our customers to execute their precision strike missions.
BAE Systems is looking for experienced Software Engineers (All levels) with engineering experience and a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading GPS products.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
- Experience level: BS degree plus 4+ years, MS degree plus 3+ years and PhD plus a year of experience
- Solid understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications
- Strong emphasis in C for embedded software applications
- Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis
- US Citizenship is required
- Must be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoW Secret security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience working with software and systems engineering processes
- Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis
- Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems
- Experience with Jira, Cameo, MagicDraw and DOORS
- Experience with Ada, C, C++, Java or other high-order languages in real-time embedded applications
- Experience with Python scripting
- A working knowledge of Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, or Kalman Filter Theory.
- Experience with modernized software development processes (e.g. Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps)
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
