Position Overview
As a Staff Accountant in the Project and Financial Accounting group, you will be primarily responsible for key accounting and reporting-related roles within the department. You will be a key member in an evolving accounting department function focused on supporting operational and financial decision-makers.

Location
This position is based out of Omaha, NE. This is a shared service environment in a professional office setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports for accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Assist in various project and financial accounting tasks as part of the quarterly and year-end close processes
- Assist project and financial accounting managers with other accounting-related matters, ad hoc requests, and special projects
- Review work of other accountants in the department
- Support internal and external auditors as needed
- Collaborate with other home office and district departments as necessary
- Prepare footnotes for parent and subsidiary financial statements
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze underlying principles, reasons or facts surrounding financial reports
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to field-based operational practices
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to plan and prioritize work, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
