World Electric is hiring a Warehouse Shipping Associate to join our team
The Warehouse Shipping Associate can be responsible for completing various warehouse tasks such as receiving inbound product inventory, picking and packing customer orders, palletizing boxes for shipment, and preparing trucks for delivery.
Schedule: Monday-Friday. 12PM (noon) start.
Receiving Duties:
- Accurately check and receive inbound products and confirm that the shipment is consistent with the applicable purchase order.
- Check product packaging to ensure that it is neat and intact.
- Restock inventory neatly, efficiently, and accurately in assigned locations.
- Perform cycle counts as necessary to ensure inventory count is accurate.
- Utilize radio frequency (RF) gun to scan barcodes and labels allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels.
Picker/Packer Duties:
- Pulls product from the goods-to-person machine or from pallet areas to fulfill customer orders efficiently and with accuracy.
- Package customer delivers in a neat and orderly manner.
- Perform quality checks on orders to ensure accuracy.
Loading Duties:
- Palletize customer material based on delivery routes ensuring that fragile items are handled properly.
- Stage customer orders at the proper dock locations in an organized manner.
- Load pallets onto trucks based on delivery routes. Ensure that the truck is loaded in a manner
Skills/Requirements:
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Ability to add and subtract units of measure, using whole numbers.
- Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Exercises safety in all aspects of carrying out job responsibilities.
- Use of personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed or composite shoes) as required for the assigned work area.
- Lift products of varying weights up to 50lbs., as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Demands:
Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy. Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements. Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
Work Environment:
The warehouse consists primarily of rows of large upright racks on a hard surface flooring. Most work is performed on pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers. The RDC will have climate control features to account for seasonal weather with an emphasis on sustainability.
