Systems Administrator needed for a high-performing support team. The candidate will work alongside the Product Owner to ensure systems are updated regularly, kept secure, and end users are able to perform their assigned duties. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a complex environment.
This Systems Administrator position performs regular vulnerability scans and audit reporting for critical and severe finding mitigations, which should meet A&A requirements. The resource will conduct system management that includes making updates to COTS products to fulfill the needs of the business and to monitor the user activities. Additional duties include checks to ensure databases are available and properly configured via SQL Server Management Studio, ensuring Apache services are properly running, and initiating daily checks that serve the business needs. The Systems Administrator contributes to the technological road map by planning when work is scheduled for completion.
Required Skills
Experience with Windows and Linux System Administration
Experience with Linux and Windows Patching
Knowledge of configuration and management of an enclave (isolated VLAN) or air gapped environments patch/configuration management (Linux and Windows)
Proficiency with Active Directory Management (Windows Server 2016, Group Policy Objects, Certificate Authority, and Internet Information Services)
Hands-on experience with VMware and VSphere Virtualization Environment Management (ESXi hosts patching, virtual machine management/patching, VCSA *VCenter Server Appliance management/patching, ILO configuration management patching, user interface configuration management, and troubleshooting)
Understanding of Cyber Security best practices
Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) management and patching
Experience with Nagios Network Monitoring and LS for Audit Reporting
Experience with Apache Web Server management, services, and configuration file modifications
B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
