Mission and Scope
This job role profile describes the indicative tasks and responsibilities for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer. The role is responsible to support the project by delivering the ILS Program as part of a Capability Acquisition outcome.
The ILS Support role shall provide assistance to the ILS Manager to develop support plans, services and contracts to deliver acquisition logistics support outcomes for the program. Assist program/project staff to ensure ongoing sustainment requirements are transitioned to in-service and/or SPO arrangements in accordance with program Transition Planning.

Responsibilities
Experience working in an acquisition or sustainment logistics environment with proven skills in the following:
- Demonstrated ability to work in and manage small teams
- Experienced Inventory Management Practitioner (includes procurement activities as required).
- Demonstrated ILS document/publications development skills
- Exposure to and understanding of ASDEFCON
- Plan and deliver a LSA program (including Life Cycle Cost Modelling and assessment)
- Intermediate understanding of ILS risks and Risk Management within an acquisition environment
- Demonstrated skills in Transition and Configuration Management
- Excellent attention to detail
- High standard of written communication skills
- Able to communicate effectively in workshops management meetings
- Demonstrated skills in producing ILS presentations (as required)
- Effectively participate in and lead ILS aspects of tender evaluation and contract negotiations (include financial assessments where required)
- Assist the Project Management staff with the ILS aspects of contract management
- Sound understanding of the SADL
- A sound understanding of the CLC
- Sound understanding of links between all ILS functions and FIC requirements
- Security and workforce planning experience within the Department of Defence (specifically CASG)
- Experience with material safety requirements as part of an ILS Program such as SDSs
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The role is minimum skill Level 3 (Experienced ILS Practitioner) as per CAS-SS Deed v6.0. There is no requirement of being able to use Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) however experience using MILIS would be desirable.
