The Work
As a Design Engineer, you’ll develop major components and portions of functional systems, advanced prototypes, and production products. You’ll transform concepts into detailed designs while balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.Your responsibilities may include:Developing preliminary layouts, sketches, models, and design concepts to communicate proposed solutions.Designing assemblies, mechanisms, structures, and detailed parts using engineering drawings and 3D modeling tools.Evaluating design factors including manufacturability, material and equipment availability, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-to-weight efficiency, cost, and contractual requirements.Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other organizations affected by design development.Reviewing drawings and layouts for accuracy, completeness, clarity, standards, specifications, calculations, and dimensional requirements.Identifying design errors, omissions, and deficiencies and recommending revisions or improvements.Supporting manufacturing operations and helping resolve design-related production issues.

Who You Are
You’re a hands-on problem solver who enjoys taking designs from concept through production. You bring strong mechanical design fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines. Experience with 3D CAD, engineering drawings, GD&T, structural design, manufacturing processes, or aerospace products is highly valuable.
