Job Description
The Sales Compensation Analyst role is an opportunity that calls for a skilled, hands-on, analytical professional who will lead the improvement and expansion of the Visa sales compensation program to multiple business units throughout our global footprint. The right candidate is a is a self-motivated puzzle-solver who can quickly establish relationships across the organization, define and document processes, and track implementation and accomplishment of integration projects. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day engagement and tracking of key initiatives associated with the provision of Sales Compensation expertise to multiple business units and stakeholders across the organization.
The candidate must possess strong knowledge of Sales Compensation. In addition, the candidate must have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to partner effectively with numerous stakeholders across business units, commercial operations peers, and sales and executive leadership at all levels of the organization. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Sales Compensation and will be an individual contributor.
This role supports global business units and is expected to maintain schedule flexibility to periodically support needs outside of typical local working hours.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and validate monthly commission payments and SPIFFs for sales employees based on Sales Compensation plan provisions.
- Implement sales compensation platform updates to reflect sales hierarchy, plan rules, rate tables, quotas, etc.
- Help create and distribute Sales Compensation plans to sales employees via NICE.
- Respond to sales queries and questions regarding Sales Compensation plans and payments.
- Work with Sales Operations and Business Intelligence to resolve any Sales Compensation-related questions or issues.
- Provide analytical support (assessment of historical data, pipeline, etc.) and ad-hoc research and analysis on other related variable pay projects as identified by management. Summarize findings and communicate recommendations to Sales Compensation managers.
- Develop operational document including job aids and procedures.
- Participate in internal audit and ad hoc Legal requests.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- At least 3-5 years of sales compensation experience with progressively increasing responsibility and complexity of work.
- Experience configuring sales compensation platforms- Xactly, NICE, Varicent, Callidus, Optymyze, etc.
- Strong knowledge of sales incentive compensation concepts, sales data tracking processes, and methodologies.
- Experience with software implementation projects, including software development lifecycle, change management, requirements and testing documentation, and associated responsibilities.
- Expert ability in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with exemplary organizational skills. Must possess “can do” attitude.
- Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines, with a collaborative mind-set.
- Must be able to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues.
- Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual teams.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 88,200.00 to 124,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
