Manufacturing Engineering, Digital and Analytics (MEDA) is part of Cell Therapy Technical Operations. We are looking for a
Data Scientist with a strong background in process monitoring and statistical process control (SPC). The main goal of this role is to drive and support process monitoring activities through data, models, and algorithms. The position will closely collaborate with process scientists and engineers to build a framework of process monitoring, using a modern data science stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with IT and BI&A build data pipelines and visualization solutions for process monitoring and CPV
- Develop automated models to identify process anomalies and statistically abnormal events
- Partner with MSAT subject matter experts to define and prioritize solutions for process monitoring and CPV
- Support AS&T and Quality Control activities related to building and sustaining a method performance monitoring program
- Support the development of dashboards and automated reporting capabilities for process and product robustness
- In collaboration with MSAT prep monthly process monitoring reports and quarterly CPV reviews
- In collaboration with MSAT identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications & Experience:
- For Senior Manager level- Minimum BS or equivalent with 6 years relevant experience, MS or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience, Ph.D. level in Scientific or Mathematical discipline with 1 + years of relevant experience
- For Manager level- Minimum BS or equivalent with 5 years relevant experience, MS or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience, Ph.D. level in Scientific or Mathematical discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in Statistical Process Control
- Hands-on experience with the modern data science stack, including Python and SQL
- Experience in Biotech or Pharma is preferable
- Familiarity with the Continuous Process Verification (CPV) process is preferable
- Self-starter with can-do attitude
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $94,000 - $118,000 (manager level) and $124,000 - $155,000 (senior manager level) if based in Devens, MA, $97,000 - $121,000 (manager level) and $127,000 - $159,000 (senior manager level) if based in Seattle, WA, and $91,000 - $114,000 (manager level) and $119,000 - $149,000 (senior manager level) if based in Summit, NJ, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
