As a Senior Software Engineer at Activision, you will work within the Experience Optimization Org to build innovative and impactful player optimization and personalization platforms and products that help to build loyalty and drive engagement for Activision’s industry leading games. Candidates should have development and implementation experience of large-scale applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Build scalable, high-volume, high-availability systems, with a focus on delivering player value.
- Contribute to evolve system architecture to deliver business needs.
- Participate in development of new features and defect resolution on existing applications, as well as assist with scoping and designing new product initiatives.
- Work with large volumes of data in both relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Working closely with our Data, Game and other development teams.
- Participate in software development standard methodologies and patterns. Player Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software engineering/development and design of large-scale distributed systems
- Strong programming skills with proficiency in Java
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, GCP, Redis, Protobuf, and Junit
- Hands-on experience with high-volume consumer-facing APIs
- Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong capability in working with Cassandra NoSQL database
- Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka
- Self-starter who is excited about learning new technologies
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and be proactive
- Experience with GCP and Databricks is a plus

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
