OPIR Systems Engineer
KBR is seeking a highly qualified OPIR Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) support for a USG Agency. As a Senior OPIR Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Joint Intelligence Community Government project leads with the planning, organizing and management of the integration and sustainment of OPIR ground systems into the operational site. Responsibilities
Extensive OPIR payload knowledge and experience to include design, optics, focal plan arrays, data processing, thermal management, and Satellite Vehicle integration
Evaluate OPIR optical designs for performance, manufacturability, and risk
Provide analysis and recommendations to Tracking programs in execution
Works across Tracking programs in execution to evaluate and assess total constellation performance
Supports and conducts modeling and simulation of Tracking OPIR sensor and constellation performance
Participates in key program milestones with analysis and recommendations on OPIR payload status and risks
Assist the Government with overseeing delivery activities from RFC review through Operations Acceptance Review (OAR)
Function as the interface between the system users, the program office, and the systems developers to ensure that requirements and user needs are met
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Experience with existing NRO, NGA, USAF and USSF OPIR systems
Bachelor’s and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience or PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
TS/SCI Required
Technical and analytic understanding of satellite testing processes
Strong verbal/written communication skills and facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups
