The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
SPA is in need of a Finance Analyst to support our Critical Infrastructure Group. The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines.
Responsibilities:
The Finance Analyst will respond to ad-hoc requests from multiple divisions with efficiency and analytical understanding of data being presented. Develop financial monitoring and tracking tools such as PowerPoint creation and documents to demonstrate an understanding of program financials. Apply knowledge of accounting practices and work effectively in groups through oral and written communication.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Operational Research, or relevant field.
- 3-7 years of experience in government finance, cost analysis, and/or analytical focused positions.
- Direct experience with financial systems such as DELPHI, REGIS, and SPIRE.
- Strong analytical background in gathering and interpreting complex amounts of data, and excellent communication skills.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MA/MS/MBA degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Operational Research.
- Direct experience with FAA programs.
