Overview
The Regional Director of Revenue Management leads the development, implementation and measurement of all Revenue Management personnel and activities ensuring execution of the reservations sales process, adherence to company and brand policies, and development of strategies that optimize revenue capture from all revenue channels. Optimizes room revenue through the monitoring of transient and group pricing and providing recommendations to Regional Revenue teams. Analyzes reports to identify trends and future demand to periods and guide hotels in establishing their strategies. Travel to properties across the US and work across eastern and pacific time zones as needed This role will require frequent travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Leads Revenue Management Teams to ensure RevPAR Optimization by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimal market mix of group, transient and other revenue streams.
- Works with Revenue Management Leaders to ensure Hotel teams are set up for success by setting clear strategies and tracking compliance.
- Lead for independent hotels systems implementation, set up and execution of strategies.
- Set reporting standards for all hotels across the major independent systems.
- Sets strict pricing protocols for each hotel, including LEAD Rapid Response parameters.
- Provides brand-specific system expertise, guidance, and training.
- Provides HEI system expertise, guidance, and training.
- Offers backup property DORM coverage through sick/vacation time and continuity through turnover
- Participates in weekly meetings to provide support and training for local property revenue leaders and ensures compliance with HEI strategies.
- Ensures alignment with ownership, often educating asset managers on our systems and strategies.
- Works with other Senior Revenue Management Leaders to implement new company wide initiatives.
- Provides oversight in hotel budgeting and business planning for the rooms and food and beverage departments.
- Works with the General Managers, Sales and Revenue Leaders to establish and track performance to key strategic plans.
- Ensures Forecasts are submitted and validated by established due dates and in line with HEI and Owner guidance; against most recent strategies, trends and pricing protocols.
- Must meet quarterly balance sheet score standards as provided by supervisor.
- Performs any other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Marketing, Finance or relevant field of work preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of revenue management experience preferred.
- Previous Director of Revenue experience in independent brands with extensive knowledge of SynXis and Windsurfer CRS, IDeaS or Duetto RMS, Opera or StayNTouch PMS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify relevant data and use it to draw inferences with reference to impact hotel revenues.
- Extensive knowledge of hotel positioning across multiple markets, types of hotels and different brand systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, command of the written language both written and verbal.
- Self-driven with a high level of attention to detail and ability to work on own.
- Ability to lead and/or develop and work alongside Directors of Revenues with varying levels of experience.
