Als Facilities Technician ben je een belangrijke technische schakel binnen ons Facility Management-team. Deze functie combineert praktische technische expertise met coördinerende verantwoordelijkheden om optimale gebouw- en facilitaire prestaties voor onze life science-klanten te waarborgen. Je beheert onderhoudsactiviteiten, coördineert externe leveranciers en ondersteunt kritische facilitaire processen, met naleving van sectorspecifieke normen en voorschriften.
Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden
Technische werkzaamheden
- Uitvoeren van preventief en correctief onderhoud aan gebouwinstallaties, apparatuur en infrastructuur (met uitzondering van HVAC-installaties)
- Verrichten van algemene reparatie- en onderhoudswerkzaamheden met behulp van technische kennis en praktische vaardigheden
- Ondersteunen van renovatieprojecten, refurbishments en kleinschalige infrastructurele initiatieven
- Bedienen van heftrucks voor materiaalverplaatsing en goederenontvangst tijdens afwezigheid van de klant
Coördinatie & leveranciersbeheer
- Coördineren van externe dienstverleners en technische aannemers voor onderhouds- en herstelwerkzaamheden
- Verwerken en beheren van werkorders via eerstelijns technische ondersteuning
- Toezien op onderhoudswerkzaamheden en zorgdragen voor correcte documentatie van uitgevoerde werkzaamheden
- Waarborgen van naleving van veiligheids-, kwaliteits- en milieunormen volgens de JLL-protocollen
Klantondersteuning & business development
- Ondersteunen bij eventmanagement indien nodig
- Assisteren bij space management en bezettingsplanning met behulp van CAFM-tools
- Deelnemen aan initiatieven voor continue verbetering van onderhoudsprocessen
- Ondersteunen bij de implementatie van nieuwe dienstverlening en zakelijke kansen
- Bijdragen aan change management-processen door effectieve communicatie met stakeholders
Vereiste kwalificaties
Technische vereisten
- Afgeronde technische opleiding in een relevante richting
- Ruime ervaring binnen industrieel Facility Management, bij voorkeur in productie- of life science-omgevingen
- Geldig heftruckcertificaat en aantoonbare ervaring in logistieke werkzaamheden
- Brede kennis van algemeen gebouwonderhoud en reparatietechnieken
Ervaring & vaardigheden
- Aantoonbare ervaring met zowel praktische als organisatorische aspecten van facilitair onderhoud
- Ervaring met onderhouds- en infrastructuurprojecten is een pré
- Zelfstandige en betrouwbare werkhouding met het vermogen om uiteenlopende verantwoordelijkheden te beheren
- Sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden en een snel leervermogen
Persoonlijke eigenschappen
- Proactieve en hands-on mentaliteit met sterke organisatorische vaardigheden
- Uitstekende communicatieve en sociale vaardigheden
- Interesse in professionele ontwikkeling en het begeleiden van collega’s

Technische competenties

Facilities Technician
Position Overview
As a Facilities Technician, you will serve as a key technical resource within our Facility Management team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with coordination responsibilities to ensure optimal facility operations for our life science clients. You will manage maintenance activities, coordinate external vendors, and support critical facility functions while maintaining compliance with industry-specific standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure (excluding HVAC systems)
- Perform general repair and maintenance work using manual skills and technical expertise
- Support renovation projects, refurbishments, and minor infrastructure initiatives
- Operate forklifts for material handling and goods receipt operations during client absences
Coordination & Vendor Management
- Coordinate external service providers and trade contractors for maintenance and repair activities
- Process and manage work order tickets through first-level technical support
- Monitor maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation of completed work
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards per JLL protocols
Client Support & Business Development
- Provide event management support as required
- Assist with space management and occupancy planning using CAFM tools
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes
- Support implementation of new service lines and business opportunities
- Contribute to change management processes through effective stakeholder communication
Required Qualifications
Technical Requirements
- Completed technical education/training in relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in industrial Facility Management, preferably in manufacturing or life science environments
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated logistics experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in both practical and organizational aspects of facility maintenance
- Project experience in maintenance and infrastructure initiatives preferred
- Independent, reliable work approach with ability to handle varied responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving abilities and quick learning capacity
Personal Attributes
- Proactive, hands-on mentality with strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Interest in professional development and mentoring others
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for implementing new business areas
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
