Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Manage facilities MRO spare parts and other various aspects of PACCAR’s relationship with suppliers of MRO products and services for the PACCAR Engine Company, including some commercial and contractual requirements with respect to total cost, quality, delivery, and customer service.
- Manage/Plan inventory levels of Fuel, Oil and Gas for the plant Operations and production process.
- Procure MRO spare parts, consumables, maintenance supplies, tools, and facility-related services in accordance with company purchasing policies.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality products, reliable delivery, and superior customer service.
- Source and qualify new suppliers while obtaining quotations, bids, and proposals for maintenance and facility-related requirements.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies through supplier negotiations, standardization efforts, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Reliability teams to identify critical spare parts and establish appropriate stocking levels.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and optimize min/max levels to ensure availability of critical components while minimizing excess inventory.
- Analyze inventory usage trends and recommend stocking strategies to support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage procurement activities for facility maintenance projects, equipment repairs, and capital improvement initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues through corrective action processes.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, receiving issues, and supplier concerns.
- Maintain supplier records, contracts, pricing agreements, and purchasing documentation.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis for MRO inventory and facility maintenance expenditures.
- Work closely with environmental, safety, and compliance teams to ensure purchased products meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports and metrics related to supplier performance, inventory turns, stock-outs, purchase order cycle times, and cost savings.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and operational reliability.
- Support fuel, oil, gas, chemicals, and utility-related purchasing activities as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing, engineering, operations, or related business experience
- Experience with Production or MRO purchasing, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management
- Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills
- Creative, quality, and results-driven work ethic
- Team Player that is self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision while maintaining a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times.
- Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, & presentation
- PC skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Ability to develop Return on Investment Analysis
