SPA has an immediate need for a QA tester with software development experience. This position is with the Surety Programs Group (SPG) which supports government and private sector organizations in ensuring the security, safety, and reliability of high-consequence operations. SPG’s philosophy is to help our clients understand and mitigate mission risks spanning physical, cyber, and human domains. The Software QA Tester will work as part of a cross-functional team to develop high quality and reliable software applications that support training initiatives, mission planning, and site familiarization for our customers.
Responsibilities:
The Software QA Tester is responsible for developing testing procedures and communicating desired functionality with the core development team while also supporting with direct programming efforts where needed. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are essential. Successful candidates will be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while facing multiple deadlines and competing resources. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and execute automated test plans and procedures to validate results against functional requirements
- Identify, document, and report technical issues to the development team
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Ensure final deliverables meet established quality standards
- Ability to review codebase to learn and reuse existing APIs and utilities and write new features to work within those systems
- Support several ongoing projects and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and reliability of applications
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience implementing software test procedures.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (C#, C++) and Unity Game Engine.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with automating UI tests with Microsoft UI Automation (or others like Selenium or Pyjab).
- Knowledge of front end frameworks (MVVM, MVC, MVU).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps development framework.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
