Job Description
The Global Interchange & Pricing – Systems team is responsible for leading the technical strategy, solution, enablement, and maintenance of interchange programs for Visa’s business globally.
We are seeking an Analyst to join our organization. This individual contributor role serves as a liaison between Business and Strategy groups and internal development teams. This Analyst role will be responsible for working on low complexity projects and coordinating implementation and related efforts of assigned initiatives with other Visa internal as well as external stakeholders to ensure proper projects implementation.
The ideal candidate will be an analytical, structured thinker and creative problem solver, capable of synthesizing and communicating findings to different audiences. A quest for learning and a drive for continuous improvements is a must. The perfect fit this role is someone that is a proven self-starter.
The position preferred location is Foster City, California.
Essential Functions:
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with key stakeholders and internal partners
- Understand business needs and priorities to help the team develop solutions and recommendations
- Work with direct manager to translate business needs into specific action plans
- Manage the enablement of interchange fee programs, including registration, configuration activities, and distribution of implementation guides to strategic partners and/or their acquirers
- Provide guidance to internal and external customers on interchange fee programs criteria and interchange processing logic
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder to ensure commitment delivery
- Deliver high quality responses, timely interaction and service accuracy
- Set priorities, influence others, and manage stakeholder expectations
- Identify, analyze, resolve, and promptly escalate business and processing issues.
- Provide regular updates to manager on managed assignments
- Stay updated on new rules, products and services, industry and technology trends to support Visa’s strategic goals and Client initiatives
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Visa's core system processing capabilities and services through training, work experience, and self-study.
- Define business requirements and review technical designs, testing documents, and user acceptance logs to ensure these requirements are met
- Generate, update and review technical documentation for clients
- Maintain group databases, forms/templates and internal process flows
- Keep team training material up to date
- Manage assignments that are diverse in scope, and search out appropriate course of action
- Independently lead and manage assigned projects.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional local and global teams.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 0 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD/PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1- 3 years of work experience in card payment industry, card processing (authorization, clearing and settlement transaction processing) or financial services
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. SQL, Microstrategy tools experience is a plus
- Ability to comprehend and translate business issues and apply to technical solutions
- Self-starter attitude – with the ability to self-serve, investigate and seek out information needed for the project at hand
- Confident, proactive and can learn on the job. Highly motivated to drive individual learning toward a deep understanding of Visa business and systems capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all process guidelines and audit and compliance requirements are met
- Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
- Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback and coaching from peers and managers
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with Global Functions.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 98,000.00 to 138,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
